1.Every morning, as soon as you wake up, drink water according to your capacity while sitting in the Malasana (garland pose). If possible, drink water stored in a copper bottle. This helps greatly in getting properly fresh and promoting smooth bowel movements.
2.In the morning, eat fruits that are high in fiber, such as papaya, oranges, guava, etc. it helps to cure constipation.
3.Have 2 to 3 proper meals in a day. Avoid eating small amounts frequently, as it can disrupt your body’s natural digestion cycle.
4.Chew your food thoroughly while eating, and drink water only after at least 45–60 minutes of having your meal.
This helps in better digestion of the food.
5.After every meal, either take a short walk or sit in Vajrasana for a while.
This helps prevent bloating and supports better digestion.
6.If you are eating a heavy meal, chew one spoonful of fennel seeds (saunf) properly after the meal.
This also greatly helps with digestion.
7.Eat a light dinner, and if possible, have your meal before sunset.
This is because our digestive fire becomes weaker at night.
8.Make sure to take out some time during the day for exercise or any physical activity, such as cycling, running, etc.
This will make you feel energetic and also improve your digestion.
9.Make sure to get 7–8 hours of sleep so that both your body and mind remain stress-free.
If your mind is not relaxed, it will directly affect your digestion.
10.Fast one day a week; this gives your organs enough time to recover and is very helpful in improving digestion.
